ABOUT L.O.V.E.

Love Of Vietnam Expressed, Inc. (L.O.V.E.), is a Christian social service/relief mission. We provide spiritual, physical and emotional support to Central Vietnam’s orphans, impoverished children, at-risk and special-needs children and their families, as well as university students and the elderly.

We currently provide assistance to over 300 children through sponsorships and scholarships. This provides school fees, books, paper, pens, pencils, clothes and food. Most are in elementary school and all are from very poor families. They are referred to L.O.V.E. by the schools, SCP, local governments, and local churches. Each child is monitored as to health, attendance, behavior, and effort.

We serve families in Thang Binh, Dai Loc, Thanh Quyt, and Hoi An areas of Quang Nam Providence and all Districts of Da Nang, among others.

Letter from L.O.V.E.'s President

“With the passing of our founder and first president, Reggie Coward, I have become the President of LOVE. Many of you were very close to Reggie and understand his love and devotion to Jesus, his Church, and the people of Vietnam. We will miss him very much, but God's work in Vietnam goes on and the LOVE staff and I are committed to the health and growth of God's mission in Vietnam through LOVE. I have been treasurer of LOVE for 12 years and vice-president for a few years, yet until becoming President I never realized the full outreach of this great organization and the devotion of our wonderful staff. Such beauty in Vietnam and in the faces of its children, but such need. LOVE is a testament to what God can do with one servant like Reggie and all of the LOVE staff and donors who have joined in God's work these 20 years

My wife Sally and I have two adopted Vietnamese daughters and live in Virginia where I am a university professor. I am also a retired US Navy Captain. We first visited Da Nang 14 years ago when we adopted the girls. Sally has been back once. We have a heart for these children and for Jesus. It is critical that we love these children because Christ first loved us. Simply giving goods and services is not our primary mission, although a great one. Our primary mission is sharing the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ. This may sometimes look the same, but it is very different, and very special. LOVE will stand on God's Word, “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” Col 3:17

May God Bless You and Keep You and Your Families, in Jesus' name, and thank you for visiting our website.”

Alan and Sally Brown

In loving memory of our Founder,
Mr. Reggie Coward, 1938 - 2021.

OUR VISION:To demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through our love for and service to the poor and needy, to give them hope not only in this lifetime but for all eternity (if we help them only for this life and not at least show them the “Door” to heaven, we have failed).

OUR MISSION: L.O.V.E. is a Christian relief organization that provides spiritual, physical and emotional support to Central Vietnam’s most impoverished children, orphans, at-risk and special-needs children.

OUR CALLING: By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the loveof God abide in him?  My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:16-18 NKJV)

Our Team

L.O.V.E. is very happy to introduce to you those who God has sent to serve with us in this ministry. Our ministry has grown so much in the last years that we can no longer rely just on a volunteer staff. We now employ full time and part time staff in Vietnam, as well as volunteers.

our faith

L.O.V.E., Inc. is a non-profit, non-governmental relief organization (NGO), modeled after the overseas arm of the National Association of Evangelicals (N.A.E.) in Wheaton, Illinois. Love Of Vietnam Expressed agrees fully with N.A.E.'s seven-point statement of faith, and that the body of Christ, represented in the world today, is all those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and show forth the fruits of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
