|
7. Who decides which children and families are served?
|
Our
Director and assistants visit each family personally and
determine their needs. Most families are referred to us by
churches, government, and other organizations.
|
|
8. Is there any accountability for the recipient families?
|
Yes,
they
are monitored regularly - most on a monthly basis - for their
general health and well-being. Any children receiving
sponsorships or scholarships must make a reasonable effort to
attend and achieve in school. Families who are able to
rise out of poverty are removed from the program to make room
for the more needy. Children who do not make a reasonable
effort to attend and perform well in school, lose their
scholarships.
