Summer break is almost over and most of the children said they had a boring or nothing-to-do holiday when being asked about how they spent it. Aiming at encouraging and bringing them a new motivation for an upcoming new school-year and praising those with excellent study results, we threw a cozy dinner party at a buffet restaurant. Nearly 60 children sponsored by American and Asian patrons attended together with LOVE’s staff. All these children originated from poor and needy families so this is certainly the first time ever in life they could have such a nice chance. The party had started with some funny ice-breaking games before Ms. My Dong had a short welcome to everyone as an opening remark. Then over 10 chosen excellent students were awarded with a sum of cash gift. Right after that was video watching time when they could see a clip about LOVE’s general activities and the sharing of some graduates who used to be in LOVE’s program and now have a better life with a good job. Ms. My Dong closed it with a summary of video content and some encouragements and advice for the children. Some fathers or mothers sent us thank you messages for giving their children such a great time so this is truly an evidence for us to believe all the children did enjoy the nice time and the good food. In the future, we would love to create more group/community activities to give them new inspiration and motive. Please do not forget us and the children in your prayers and donations. We really need more outreaching hands from you.

Has Your Child Been Given a Bicycle?

Bicycle is always an essential and vital transport to school for each student. In Vietnam, children will be back to school on September 5^th this year as normally and August is definitely a good time to give them a new bicycle as a caring thoughful gift. This will surely be a motivation for the children to do better in a new year. We could bless 13 children with nice new bicycles this time. LOVE would like to offer our big thanks to a kind German donor from G4kids for supporting us to do this event.
