Love Of Vietnam Expressed

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV):  By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

WHAT’s  LEFT AFTER A PERSONAL MEETING

between a Sponsor and a Child

Meeting between a child and a sponsor is an unforgettable experience for both sides. Below are the feelings of two of the sponsors visiting their children and LOVE this year:

Hello from Ms. Birgit, a sponsor and Director of G4Kids-Germany, the European Partner NGO of LOVE!

From April 25 – May 3rd I took some other sponsors from Germany to visit the beautiful country Vietnam. In the beginning, we spent 3 days in the North, visited Hanoi and the fabulous Ha Long Bay. It was fantastic!

In Da Nang we had the chance to watch the International fireworks competition, but what was even more important to us was the time we could spend with our personally sponsored children.

As they were off from school for some days, we played some ice-breaker games with them, took them to Helio-Center in Da Nang and even to full moon festival in Hoi An. As a special treat and surprise we could even watch a lion dance there.

The children and sponsors felt perfectly happy with each other and we all thank LOVE's staff for giving us a wonderful time!”

Another sponsor wrote to his sponsored child:

I am back in Germany for a week and I am still thinking about the wonderful time that we spent together in Vietnam.

It was a great experience to meet you and your brother and I enjoyed the whole time in Danang. Thanks for your letter and your frankness. I am very happy that you appreciate our time together and I also will keep all these good memories in my mind.

Yes, I agree with you, some situations were easier if we could talk with each other. But sometimes words are not really necessary to feel the spirit of a great moment and I think we understood each other’s feelings well.”

And a thank you letter from a sponsored child:

These last days are an awesome time for me. Seeing you and being with you made me really happy and joyful. Though it was a short time, it left me a great deal of good emotions in my heart. That time was a great beautiful memory for not only me but also for the other sponsored children.

I was sad that I couldn’t talk to you much in person for my English isn’t good enough. However, I’m very glad that I can still exchange the letters with you and by this way I can express all what I want to say. Thank you for everything, for the gifts you gave me like the wristwatch, necklace, and more. Everything you gave me are really beautiful, my dear auntie. The dress you bought me when we went shopping together in Lotte Mart is very nice, too. I’ll honor and carefully preserve all the gifts you presented to me.

I hope I could meet you again one day and I’ll try to learn English so that I can communicate with you and talk to you more then.

Hope you’ll always stay healthy and all the good luck will come to you. Please convey my best wishes to your entire family. I miss you so much.”

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

PLEASE HELP

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

(Luke 14:13-14 NIV)  But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, {14} and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."(Luke 19:8-9 NIV)  But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount." {9} Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV)  Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

God bless you for your prayers and financial support for the children!
