From the Director
Now summer is past and the 37-40 C
temperatures are gone (I hope) and the 33 to
37 temperatures are here. Cooler weather is
such a relief as the night time dips to
mid-twenties. Hopefully, October to March
will see temperatures below 30 and even a
few days under 20. October and November
usually bring the rainy season that is when
things begin to cool off. Now we have a few
months to catch our breath before gifts and
money for Christmas and Tet (Chinese New
Year) begin to come in. This year, Tet is on
February 18, so we will not be so rushed
between Christmas and Tet.
December is the one time a year when our
thoughts are not only on the children, but
also for the elderly. Here we try to provide
blankets, scarves, and food to a needy area.
This humanitarian mission usually cost from
$1500 to $2,000. We need many of you out
there to send an extra $10, $20, $50 or $100
to our general fund to help us
bless 100 or more poor and often alone
elderly men and women. At 77 last year, I
was the youngest one there. |

Visits to student houses
LOVE visited student houses to pray,
encourage and motivate them in their studies
at the beginning of the new school year.
Below, Linh and 2 leaders of the student
groups visited the student houses. Many of
the students were in classes. All the
students were really happy to welcome Linh
and the leaders of Christian students group. |

Follow-up
Here are the pictures of Manh Linh’s
repaired roof before the rainy season. From
this help, Linh’s house will not have a leak
in the wet rainy season again. The repairs
were done in about 1 week, and LOVE is happy
to share the joy with Linh’s family.

Sponsors Needed
Right now, there is a needy child living in
poverty who is waiting for a caring person
like you. We have many children who need
sponsors.
To see these children or to fill out an
application go to our web site by clicking
child.
Without your help, many of these will not
finish school. For just $30 a month you can
see that the child you choose will break the
cycle of poverty by getting a good
education, better food, clothing, and
shelter. For more information about these
children or an application form, you can
also contact
Reggie,
who lives in Danang.
Please pray that we can find sponsors for
all our children and put your prayers to
work by sharing the need with your church,
Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.
PLEASE HELP
Share your love and faith
These children urgently need sponsors who
will support a child for $30 a month or the
whole family for $50 a month, and will pray
for them, write and encourage them. |

About me:
Family members:
My name is Vo Thai Ngoc Quoc. I
am 14 years old. My dad died and
now I am living with my
grandmother, mother and brother.
My grandmother has cancer and
she’s bearing a lot of pain. We
alternatively
take care
of her.
My brother is a 12-
grader.
My mother is the main labor in
our family. My mom is a
house cleaner
but her job is not stable. Our
family has 4 members but just
only mother can work and earn a
very small wage, she has a huge
burden. I do need a help to keep
our study going because both my
brother
and I
do want to keep going to school.
Thank you.

(Luke 14:13-14 NIV)
But when you give a
banquet, invite the poor, the
crippled, the lame, the blind,
{14} and you
will be blessed. Although they cannot repay
you, you will be repaid at the resurrection
of the righteous." |
(Luke 19:8-9 NIV) But Zacchaeus stood up
and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and
now I give half of my possessions to the
poor, and if I have cheated anybody out
of anything, I will pay back four times the
amount." {9} Jesus said to him,
"Today salvation
has come to this house, because this man,
too, is a son of Abraham. |
