The children’s work is done ------- LOVE’s work just gets more intent.

Some of our children will attend summer school for honors work – some for remedial work – some for special classes; i.e. swimming, karate, singing, dance, etc. – and others will just hang out.

As for LOVE, you already know --- preparing reports on progress, reports, textbooks, school uniforms.

In addition, we desire to give each of our children a raincoat by September, before rainy season starts.

If you would like to help, a raincoat will cost $2.50 to $3.00 each. Your donation of any amount can help. Just put "raincoat" on your PayPal or check donation.

In May

We paid out 42 stipends for scholarships, 145 stipends to sponsored families, 72 stipends to single child sponsored, 19 extra gifts, student houses and other needs for a total of $6,698.

A big thank you to all of you in the US, Europe (especially Germany) and Asia. About 2/3 of money paid each month comes from Europe and the rest from the US and other parts of the world, including Asia.

Trinh, who will have graduated from high school this June, was struck by a metal object swung by her drunken father as she tried to protect her mother. Because of fear, she told her teachers and us that she fell.

She wrote her sponsor that she would not go to college. With loving encouragement from LOVE’s staff, she told us the truth about the scar. She is very embarrassed by her scar and what her father did. We have encouraged her to focus on her graduation test and college entrance exams. We have promised to provide an operation after the exam. We all are so glad she did not lose her eye. We also are trying to get help for the father. Please pray for her and her family.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.
