Love Of Vietnam Expressed

Helping the poor and needy

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV) By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Official Newsletter of L.O.V.E.

August 2012

With the goal to create an opportunity for children to get acquainted, understand each other, and to enjoy a relaxing day after a hard year of studying with stressful exams, on July 14, for the first time, we held a camp for children in our scholarship program at Luong Stream near Hai Van Pass. We had a very happy and meaningful day together although the number of participants was not as many as initially expected. The message we sent to the children through activities and games was “Discover the world around you to find out the true value of life and to get knowledge of mankind. Discover your ability, to be more confident in life and to achieve lots of success in the future”.

L.O.V.E. Extra Gifts

Once again, L.O.V.E. would like to express our sincere thanks to

many of our Sponsors who are indeed climbing down the steps of love to show their true love, and their real heart to the children.

The extra Mile is taken when you send money to buy extra gifts at birthdays, Christmas, Tet, and "just because I love you" days. And perhaps the most refreshing of all are the letters of encouragement you send each month to your sponsored child. We hope their letters encourage you, also.

As a result, many of the children in our sponsorship program keep receiving a cup of cold water: “gifts”. They are truly climbing up step by step to a stable and better position in their life thank to the Sponsors.

Some of the 31 extra gifts from our friends in Europe to their children.

Visitors from Germany

We were blessed this month by Ulla and Gerd Kierig from Germany. They came for vacation and to visit their sponsored children and students.

The children had a wonderful time visiting local tourist attractions with them, ate at local restaurants and shopped and were showered with gifts.

Thanks to our earlier visitors from Singapore, we gave out 300 caps to all of LOVE’s children and staff.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

LOVE’s note: A Family sponsorship is recommended, but any help is appreciated

(Mark 10:21 NKJV) Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV) Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child, please check the information by clicking on child, or contact Reggie.

If you live in Europe, please contact our sister-organization www.G4Kids.de

God bless you for your prayers and financial support for the children!
