Love Of Vietnam Expressed

Helping the poor and needy

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV) By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

November 2011

God has provided us an opportunity!

We feel challenged by God to reach out to a community of poor in a remote area of Vietnam. Upon contacting one of the leaders there, he writes, “I am deeply concerned for 9 old people who are living alone and 17 children whose families don’t have enough food and clothes. In addition, we have three people who are blind, 2 who are handicapped and 2 mentally ill people. There are also a lot of needy families and Agent Orange victims in this poor and remote area of Vietnam. I am really happy to hear that you are going to do something for our poor area and I am so thankful to God for answering my prayers”.

After surveying and discussing the needs, we estimate that there are at least 200 we want to help, L.O.V.E’s staff has decided to do the mission for this area in the middle of December and we need help from supporters so that many more and meaningful things are added to the gifts on the occasion of Christmas, a time of giving and sharing the joy.

We would like to raise at least $2,000. That is 200 people donating $10 each. If you can help, please make a donation to L.O.V.E for any amount, for missions, by PayPal or check as soon as possible.

In addition to our usual activities and because of you, the sponsors, we began delivering warm, soft blankets to all the children.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

About me:

I am an average pupil and I am really shy. Sometimes I go to school without breakfast because we don’t have money for it. My mother sells milk at the school in the morning and does the screen printing to earn more money. My mother gets osteitis-ear and stomachache. We don’t have a house yet so we are renting a small house to live and it is costing us a lot of money. We look for help.

Family members:

  • Vo Thi Dieu Linh (1972) Mother

  • Do Cong Minh (1998) Brother

LOVE’s note: A family sponsorship is recommended. This child has lost her sponsor and is very needy.

See the frames where she screen prints 1000’s of envelopes and flyers by hand.

(Mark 10:21 NKJV) Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV) Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child, please check the information by clicking on child or contact Reggie.

God bless you for your prayers and financial support for the children!
