Love Of Vietnam Expressed

Helping the poor and needy

Web page: www.loveofvietnamexpressed.org

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV)  By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?  My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

November 2007

We’re excited

We at LOVE have tried to reach out to extremely poor Christian families. In Quang Nam Providence we have nearly 40 families that we have been assisting since 2001. However, we only had enough funds to provide scholarships twice a year that paid their school fees.

Now, thanks to the generosity of a donor, we will be able to provide monthly scholarships to these and an additional 40...80 in all. Some of these will be in Danang, but most in Thang Binh District of Quang Nam.

The monthly scholarships not only are enough to pay the school fees, but to provide school supplies and fund extra help after school for supplementary classes.

Student Houses

Abraham’s House has found another house and will divide soon. Then they will be 2 houses. The new house will need beds and a gas stove for cooking.

Hannah’s House has a sponsor now (praise to God) and they too will divide if they can find a new house.

Rachel’s House is full and doing well. They need a computer.

Ruth’s House will be under new leadership this year. Please pray for the leaders of this house and all the houses.

Esther’s House is full. They need beds and need to find a bigger house.

Sarah’s House has asked for our help, but LOVE has no funds to help more until we find sponsors for our other houses.

There is also a need for a house for boys in Son Tra District and one more for girls in Lien Chieu District.

Please ask your church, Sunday school class or others to sponsor one of our student houses.

The cost is $75 a month, this not only pays rent on the house, but other needs and most important for training materials, camps, and outreach to other university students. Contact Reggie.

Pastor Bob Ness from America was sharing some scriptures about the Holy Spirit to some students from Hannah’s and Ruth’s houses.

Nhat Thanh’s grandmother recieved some school stuff and teddy bear from his sponsor in Vienna, Austria. Nhat Thanh and his sister were orphaned last year after the death of their father.

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

We have many children who need sponsors.

To see our children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help many of these will not finish school. For just $20 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $20 a month or the whole family for $35 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

  Do Thi Minh Nguyet

The father before being moved

Do Thi Minh Nguyet, 11 months old. Her father, after driving her mother to work, was in a serious traffic accident on the way home causing brain injury. Moreover, his right leg is paralyzed and his windpipe is restricted. At present, he is being treated in a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. They sold everything to pay for his hospital fee and their house is now mortgaged. They have a big debt since her father's accident. In addition, the roof of their house is in very poor condition and has many leaks.

The cost for building this house was higher than usual because it is in a remote location and the cost to
transport materials was nearly as much as the materials.

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV)  Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
