(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV) By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. |

Summer
Summer is here and is the busiest time of year. For the next 3 months we will be reviewing our children and deciding who to renew scholarships for the new year. In addition we already have a large number of new applications and will receive many more before summer is over. We must measure the children and have school uniforms made and order text books for over 250 children.

Prayer
We need your prayers more now than ever before. Please pray for wisdom as who should be dropped from the program and who should be added. The 2 main things we look at is 1) financial need 2) is the child trying his/her best. If grades are low or attendance is poor, we must investigate to see the causes for a child to continue. In addition, we must review the financial needs.
We also greatly need to increase the number of regular monthly supporters; those who can give $10, $20, $50, or $100 a month. We are grateful for all contributions, but it is very difficult to plan and budget without regular contributions.

Needed
This is Minh, a house church preacher in Quang Nam Providence. He injured his eye (see right photo) in an accident. He and his church raised and borrowed money for his first operation. Now he needs a second operation, but there is no money.

He needs $300 for an eye saving operation and another $100 to pay off the first operation. If you can help this preacher save his eye, please email me and send your donation to the address below. |
I read this in Agape Press, check it out.
EVANGELICAL STRATEGY STATEMENT GAINS APPROVAL Almost 90 evangelical leaders have given their approval to a document that calls conservative Christians to go beyond their usual issues, like abortion and homosexual rights, and involve themselves in such matters as poverty, justice and human rights. God's Promise: (Deu 15:10-11 NKJV) "You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand. "For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, 'You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.'
Meditate on this: (Deu 26:12-13 NKJV) "When you have finished laying aside all the tithe of your increase in the third year; the year of tithing; and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your gates and be filled, {13} "then you shall say before the LORD your God: 'I have removed the holy tithe from my house, and also have given them to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me; I have not transgressed Your commandments, nor have I forgotten them. |
