Love Of Vietnam Expressed

Helping the poor and needy

www.loveofvietnamexpressed.org

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV)  By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?  My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

The old came

Mothers and their young came. Many malnourished babies received milk and Vitamins.

A day of shopping, sight- seeing, and a delicious Vietnamese lunch in Hoi An before returning home.

Good Morning Vietnam

LOVE was also visited by Ed & Lani Krumwiede, their friend Fredrick, and interrupter Kiem.

Ed is director of Good Morning Vietnam. They provided a TV and billiards table for the street children at "The Tomorrow Club" and a gas stove for the university students at Rachel's Family House.

Thank you all!

Note: The children served by the Tomorrow Club work to help their families and do not go to school. They do shoe shines and sell lotto tickets, newspapers and magazines. The Club is a place they can come when not working and a teacher provides them a basic education. They work at meal times.

Above is Ed, Loni, and Fredrick with some of the children at "The Tomorrow Club". The children work mostly during meal times.

The TV is used for educational videos, games and entertaining programs.

The children work from 6 am to 9 pm

Matching Funds

LOVE is challenged by a donor who will match dollar for dollar all contribution in November and December of 2004, up to $10,000.

That means that if we have $5000 in donations, he will donate $5000 for a total of $10,000 or $10,000 in donations will bring us $20,000 to help the poor in Vietnam.

We will report the results in the December and January Newsletters.

Please pray about this and help as much an God leads you. We are at a point now that we may need to cut some of our children from our program.

Board of Directors

LOVE wants to expand its Board of Directors. We are looking for 2-3 people who will come here to look at our work, to evaluate the work and help us to better meet the needs of the poor here in Vietnam. Who will donate time to promote the work in the USA. If you sense God's call, please email me and let me know when you can come.

God's Promise: (Prov 22:9 NKJV)  He who has a generous eye will be blessed, For he gives of his bread to the poor.

Meditate on this one: (Prov 28:8 NKJV)  One who increases his possessions by usury and extortion gathers it for him who will pity the poor.

The children here in Vietnam need your prayers and your help!

PLEASE HELP A CHILD THIS MONTH
